Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Teacher Academy

This one-day professional learning experience is designed for the K-12 classroom educator who wants to learn more about Microsoft’s best tools and resources for classroom learning. Bring your own Windows 8.1 or 10 device to learn how to most effectively use the latest version of Windows, including basic navigation and Windows Apps. Discover Office Mix, Sway, and OneNote, including how digital notebooks can be created and used as a productivity tool for educators and students. Attendees will also receive complimentary Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) exam vouchers to advance their professional development.

Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Trainer Academy

Designed exclusively for K-12 teacher trainers responsible for delivering professional development training in their districts, the MIE Trainer Academy is a 2-day in-depth training that provides you the skills and materials necessary for you to redeliver training to your teachers. This free workshop provides hands-on training on Windows devices available for this training across a range of Microsoft tools including Office 365 Education, OneNote, Sway, OneDrive, Skype in the Classroom, Office Mix, and a number of free tools Microsoft makes available to teachers and students. Participate and you will have the opportunity to apply to be a Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer and receive complimentary Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) exam vouchers.

Microsoft in the Classroom (MIC)

Microsoft in the Classroom seminars are a source of inspiration for school leaders and educators who want to understand how to optimize technology in the classroom. Guided by a qualified education trainer, these free two-hour sessions can be held at your school or in the local area. In these seminars you will experience rich learning activities that demonstrate how technology can enhance teaching and learning, learn where to get free resources that spark imagination and inspire learning, as well as find out how to access free professional development for educators.
