Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has recently announced the formation of a Political Action Committee (PAC) to raise funds for candidates who align with their mission and values. The oldest and most prestigious Black Greek-letter organization for women, Alpha Kappa Alpha has a long history of supporting social justice and political activism.
The formation of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Political Action Committee marks a new chapter in the organization’s commitment to promoting social change and empowerment within the political sphere. The PAC will focus on fundraising for candidates who advocate for issues that are important to the sorority, such as education, healthcare, and civil rights.
“Alpha Kappa Alpha has always been at the forefront of fighting for social justice and equality,” said Dr. Glenda Glover, International President and CEO of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. “Our new PAC will allow us to further support candidates who share our values and are committed to creating positive change in our communities.”
The PAC will work to raise funds through various means, including soliciting donations from members and supporters, hosting fundraising events, and partnering with like-minded organizations. The goal is to provide financial support to candidates who can help advance the sorority’s goals and create a more equitable and just society.
