Access to higher education is a key factor in achieving success and improving one’s quality of life. However, for many rural students, this opportunity can be out of reach due to limited resources and access to colleges and universities. In an effort to bridge this gap, the College Network to Nurture Rural Students (CNR) is set to expand its reach and provide more opportunities for rural students to pursue higher education.

Founded in 2015, CNR aims to support rural students in their college and career aspirations by providing access to resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities. The organization works with schools, community organizations, and colleges to create a network of support for rural students, helping them navigate the college application process, secure financial aid, and succeed academically once they are enrolled in college.

One of the key components of CNR’s success is its emphasis on building relationships with students and providing personalized support. By connecting students with mentors who understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing rural students, CNR helps to ensure that students have the tools and support they need to succeed in college and beyond.

With the expansion of CNR, more rural students will have the opportunity to access these valuable resources and support networks. This expansion will allow CNR to reach more schools and communities, providing even more students with the opportunity to pursue their dreams of higher education.

In addition to providing direct support to students, CNR also works to advocate for policy changes that will benefit rural students. By working with policymakers and stakeholders, CNR is able to raise awareness of the challenges facing rural students and push for changes that will improve access to higher education for all students, regardless of where they live.

As the College Network to Nurture Rural Students continues to expand, its impact on rural communities and students will only grow. By providing support, resources, and advocacy for rural students, CNR is helping to ensure that all students have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and achieve success through higher education.
